Sarada Kala Nilayam
Sarada Kala Nilayam (SKN) is a performing arts organization dedicated to inspiring creativity in all students and audiences since its inception in 2012. We strive to present dance as a mode of communication and create a sense of community and belonging both within the organization and in the larger community.
SKN has about 60 students, both youth and adult, who are growing into serious arts practitioners of Bharatanatyam and Nattuvangam. With this positive energy, SKN aims to encourage the inquisitiveness of its students, increase collaboration among artists, and provide a professional platform for presenting unique ideas. Apart from teaching, community engagement and outreach, SKN's goals at large also include improving accessibility to this art form and advocating for fair pay for the artists.
